Really Love Font for Creative Projects

There I was, staring at a blank brand board, trying to find the right visual language for a small boutique that wanted to feel warm, inviting, and a little nostalgic. The client mentioned they loved vintage aesthetics and wanted something that felt personal. That’s when I stumbled on Really Love—a retro font that immediately caught my eye with its soft curves and elegant flair.

Really Love for Wedding Invitations and Elegant Branding

Really Love is a very unique and beautiful retro font that brings a sense of nostalgia and romance to any design. I first tested it on a set of wedding invitations for a client who wanted something that felt timeless but not outdated. The font’s delicate serifs and flowing lines gave the text a handcrafted feel that worked perfectly with the overall aesthetic. It wasn’t just about looking good—it made the message feel more meaningful.

As a display font, Really Love shines in situations where the text needs to stand out. Whether it’s a logo, a headline, or a key message, it adds a touch of personality without overwhelming the design. I paired it with a simple sans serif for body text, which created a nice contrast while keeping the overall look cohesive.

Really Love for Photography and Editorial Design

Another project where Really Love really came into play was for a photography studio that wanted to create a series of editorial-style prints. The font’s retro vibe matched the vintage photography style they were going for, and it worked well as a title font for their print campaigns. I used it on postcards, magazine covers, and even social media banners, always making sure it didn’t compete with the images but instead enhanced them.

One thing I noticed was how the font handled different sizes. At larger sizes, it looked sharp and expressive, but when used in smaller text, it became harder to read. That’s why I kept it as a headline or accent font rather than a body typeface. It’s a great choice for short-form text, like captions or taglines, where its character can shine without being a hindrance.

Really Love for Packaging and Product Labels

A local skincare brand asked me to help rebrand their product line, and I knew Really Love could be a perfect fit. They wanted something that felt natural, elegant, and a bit whimsical. I used the font on product labels, packaging boxes, and even a website header. The font added a handmade quality that aligned with their brand story.

I also tested it on a shop sign and business card. On the sign, it looked clean and professional, while on the card, it added a personal touch. It’s versatile enough to work in both digital and physical formats, which is a big plus for a designer working on multiple mediums.

Really Love for Social Media Graphics and Digital Marketing

When designing social media graphics for a creative studio, I found that Really Love worked well as a headline font. It added a playful yet sophisticated tone to posts, especially those related to events, promotions, or seasonal content. I used it on Instagram stories, Facebook posts, and even email newsletters, always making sure it complemented the other design elements.

One thing to note is that when using Really Love digitally, it’s important to check how it renders on different devices and screen sizes. While it looks great on high-resolution displays, it might not hold up as well on lower-quality screens. That’s why I usually pair it with a more neutral font for subheadings or descriptions.

Really Love for Logo Design and Brand Identity

For a branding project focused on a small café, I experimented with using Really Love as the main logo font. It gave the brand a warm, inviting feel that matched the cozy atmosphere of the space. I played around with different weights and styles, eventually settling on a bold version for the primary logo and a lighter variant for secondary elements like menus and signage.

It’s important to test the font across different applications before finalizing a brand system. I recommend creating a style guide that includes examples of how Really Love works in various contexts—whether it’s a website header, a product label, or a printed brochure. This helps ensure consistency and clarity in the overall design.

Really Love for Handmade and Artisanal Brands

Really Love has a certain charm that works well for handmade or artisanal brands. Its retro feel gives a sense of authenticity and craftsmanship that resonates with customers who value quality and uniqueness. I used it on a set of product packaging for a small handmade soap company, and it helped convey the brand’s personality in a way that felt genuine and approachable.

When working with clients who want to emphasize their craft, I often suggest using Really Love in combination with other fonts that reflect their brand’s identity. A serif font for body text, for example, can balance the retro feel of Really Love while maintaining readability and professionalism.
